We flew Midwest Express from Kansas City to Boston's Logan Airport just three weeks after the hijackings of September 11. Reserves were already lending a presence at the airports and air travel was way off. We picked up a rental minivan at Budget and made our way easily to the motel in Uxbridge.
After we checked into our motel, we found our way to St. John's Episcopal Church. Alice Palladini had arranged for us to use the Parish House basement for a get-together. Most of us had never met before in person, so this was a good opportunity to visit and share data and photos and memorabilia. We ate pizza and had a good time.
