Lucy and Thomas made moving cartoons to display in the zootrope. Lucy drew a bouncing ball; Thomas drew a jumping Godzilla.
Just to the left of the entrance is The Junior League's Hands On! Gallery for children. Both Lucy and Thomas would have been happy to spend most of the visit here, but the rules required supervision of a person 18 or older. Therefore, the adults dragged the kids along while they looked at the art. After Dick was done, he sat with the kids while they participated in the hands-on exhibits here.

Lucy and Thomas spent lot of time constructing on the Lego(TM) Duplo (TM) structure right at the entrance.
