Towers on the Plaza - July 2, 2000

The dominant elements in the Plaza skyline are its towers. Here are a few, including Giralda tower, modeled after the tower at the Great Cathedral in Seville, Spain.

This is the clock tower with another tower in the distance. Notice the wind vane on the top - it is designed after a Spanish galleon.
I wonder if the red car got a ticket.

Giralda Tower is the major landmark of the Plaza.
Below is the inscription written at the base.

              The inspiration for
the design of this tower came
        from the original Giralda Tower
which is a part of the Great Cathedral
               of Seville, Spain
             J.C. Nichols Company

This tower with a fountain is across from Giralda Tower.
